Nicholas Palmquist

Nicholas Palmquist is an internationally recognized teacher and choreographer. As a freelance dancer in New York City, his eclectic work experience has ranged from films like In the Heights (2021) and episodes of SNL, The Tonight Show, and Netflix Original series; to live performances with American Dance Machine, on The Tony Awards, and with the Radio City Rockettes. Nicholas and his movement have been featured in Vogue, Numéro China, Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher, Pointe Magazine, tanz, Vogue Mexico, and at Nordstrom, KENZO, Zalando, and New York Fashion Week. 

Nicholas has taught masterclasses for Juilliard, NYU Tisch, ABT Studio Company, ABT Kennedy Onassis School Pre-Professional Division, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Joffrey Ballet, Monterrey International Ballet Gala, Henny Jurriens Amsterdam, and annual workshops at Orsolina 28 in Italy.  

Nicholas continues to develop his genre-bending movement language and, in addition to his renowned classes at Steps on Broadway in New York City, Nicholas has been invited to teach in Italy, Spain, the Philippines, France, the UK, Germany, Brazil, Austria, Mexico, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Paraguay, Shanghai, Japan, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland. While living abroad, Nicholas has created world premieres with Semperoper Ballett, Ballett x Schwerin, and Palucca University. He has hosted workshops with University der Kunst Berlin, and with Staatsballett Berlin and their educational program Tanz ist Klasse.
