Alexandra Love Strouse

Alexandra Love Strouse is a dance performer, choreographer, teacher, stage manager, and arts administrator. Alexandra has performed with companies including JKing Dance Company, Ballaro Dance, and JoyeMovement Dance Company. Alexandra recently performed in the premiere of Matthew Rushing’s Sacred Songs at the Edges of Ailey exhibition at the Whitney Museum. She has also performed in works by choreographers Lisa Johnson-Willingham and Sierra Sanders at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.

Alexandra has taught for Ailey Extension Kids & Teens, DramaZone, Pure Movement Dance Center, Maryland Arts eXplosion, and Young People’s Summer Stock Performing Arts Camp. Alexandra has presented her choreography at several venues and festivals including the Ailey Citigroup Theater and the Queens Dance Festival.

Alexandra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elon University, earning her BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography and BA in Strategic Communications. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Alexandra studied dance at the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology and The Moving Company Dance Center. Her training includes summer intensive programs with The Ailey School where she worked with choreographers Stefanie Batten Bland and Amy Hall Garner. She has also trained with Doug Varone and Dancers, Limón Dance Foundation, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
