The Whitney Museum is partnering with Mixtape to co-host a special Free Friday Night celebrating BIPOC creatives who are redefining culture. Join Mixtape in honoring artist Renee Cox with a night of music, dancing, and community, as well as catering from Tosh’s Patties.
The evening kicks off with a dynamic dancehall class taught by Ailey Extension instructors L.A.S. Dancers, a dancehall duo made up of Larenzo Campbell (a.k.a. Bigga) and Navarroe Crossman (a.k.a. Bling Evo). All ages and skill levels welcome!
The party continues after the dance pop-up with a set by Fade “The Future” and will crescendo into a dance party DJ’d by April Hunt.
